Thank you for your interest in our Seattle project, the future home of WeWork Seattle! The project is going very well and, despite a slow-down in EB-5 investment due to varying visa wait times by country, we continue to sign investors seeking U.S. permanent residency.
Per Scott Chesney, Director of Project Management for Columbia International Finance:
“Third & Lenora construction, the Seattle Innovation Center, is on schedule and moving along well. As of August 15, the contractor has completed slab work up to Level 03 and is working on forming the Level 04 slab. By the end of August Level 04 will be poured out and the team will be working on Level 05. In addition to the above concrete flooring work, construction framing and supports in the garage at levels P4 and P5 have been removed and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in is underway. Stair 1 in the South Core and Stair 2 in the North Core are also being erected. Masonry and drywall subcontractors will also start onsite this month, beginning in the garage working on concrete masonry unit walls and framing.”
From the perspective of immigration policy, I have no updates other than my assumption that the investment amount may go up with the re-certification of the program on September 30th. For the best projections and insight for these issues, I will refer everyone to Suzanne Lazicki’s excellent EB-5 blog: https://blog.lucidtext.com/
As always, we wish to earn our investors’ trust through honesty and transparency. Please contact us directly with any questions you may have.
